On two Sundays after lockdown

On two Sundays in November, as soon as I was able, I visited the Hope Anglican Church Leppington and the LIfe Anglican Church Marsden Park. After more than four months in lockdown, I wanted to get out and meet as many people as I could in both churches. There is nothing like face to face meetings with people to get a better idea of the character of the churches we support. It was a delight going to Leppington for both their morning services, taking photos of people as they gathered for worship and also take a sneak peek of the new buildings that are forming behind their current meeting place.

Likewise it was great going to Marsden Park and having the double bonus of hearing our Archbishop, Kanishka Raffel share his testimony and preach from 1 Thessalonians. It was a cold day, which was strange being on the verge of summer and made sitting in the outdoors somewhat uncomfortable, especially as a few of us weren’t prepared for the wet and windy conditions. Still, the fellowship was warm.

Our prayer is that God will bless these churches in Greenfields and multiply their fruit in the community.
